Tennis Toronto
The Ontario Tennis Association (OTA) divides Ontario into ten regions. These regions: - Facilitate Communication between member clubs; between member clubs and third parties, such as municipalities; and between member clubs and the OTA, ensuring that clubs are aware of OTA programs
- Organize and run programs, such as leagues and tournaments, to meet the identified needs of member clubs.
- Support junior participation
The Tennis Toronto Region covers the former City of Toronto, Borough of East York, City of York and Etobicoke. Tennis Toronto has 42 regional members which include a mix of community, commercial and private tennis clubs, as well as tennis camps. In turn, the regional members represent over 10,000 adult tennis players and approximately 3,600 juniors, making Tennis Toronto the largest region in Ontario . One of the main functions of Tennis Toronto is to act as a conduit, providing a communication link between the member clubs and the OTA. Tennis Toronto also provides programs such as the junior Doubles League. Tennis Toronto Committee is selected annually by the regions member clubs.
